26 Statistics: Gold Snap vs GoldZilla, Measured Not Marketed

Live MQL5 signal data as of 26 October 2026 — two EAs we already shared for free, now put side by side.

② Gold Zilla AI MT4_1.1_fix.ex4 (MT4) • XAUUSD M5

Stuck choosing between the dozens of gold EAs we have shared? The question that reaches HG Trade the most is not "is this EA good?" but "which one is better, compared to the others?". So this time we are not reviewing one EA on its own — we put Gold Snap and GoldZilla AI side by side, using live MQL5 signal data that is genuinely published today.

Both have already been shared for free on Telegram. Both are XAUUSD. Both claim "no grid". But the moment you line the numbers up, their characters are completely different — and one of them carries a copy cost that almost nobody talks about. Here is the comparison.

⚠️ These Two EAs Work on Very Different Clocks — Your Broker Decides the Result
Gold Snap holds positions for only ~4 minutes (fast scalper), so spread, slippage and execution decide almost everything. GoldZilla AI holds ~4 hours (swing), so feed quality and server stability matter more. If you want results comparable to the live signal, start on the same type of broker + VPS we tested. It only takes about 3 minutes:

⚙️ How Both of Them Work (Vendor Claims)

Both trade XAUUSD, but their philosophies are opposites: one chases many small, fast profits, the other picks its style based on market conditions.

  • Gold Snap — Fast Breakout Scalper: enters when price breaks structure within a clearly defined risk boundary, then exits fast (~4 minutes average on the signal). SL/TP/trailing adjust adaptively with volatility. The vendor states no grid and no martingale. It is a sister product of Gold House.
  • GoldZilla AI — Multi-Strategy Regime Switching: detects the market regime first, then selects from five distinct strategies (multi-timeframe M5–H1) instead of sticking to one single logic. Every position is claimed to carry a stop-loss, plus an AI-driven risk module.
  • What they share: both claim to be not grid/martingale, both need one XAUUSD chart only, and both are 100% and 98% algo trading — so no manual intervention is rescuing the results.
  • The most practical difference: Gold Snap = 5 trades/week, GoldZilla = 6 trades/week but 412 total trades (far more frequent, trading on almost every market day).

Honest note: "no grid" and "AI" are vendor claims, not the outcome of an independent audit. What we can verify is the live signal numbers — and that is the next part.

Official MQL5 warnings"No trading activity" repeated (once idle for 6 days)"80% of growth within 7–8 days" repeated ⚠️

🔍 5 Things These Numbers Actually Tell You

  • 1) Gold Snap wins on curve quality, and not by luck. A 78% win rate, PF 2.21, Sharpe 0.39, Recovery Factor 6.54 — all well above GoldZilla (PF 1.31, Sharpe 0.11, Recovery 2.00). Return-to-drawdown ratio: 13.6× for Gold Snap vs 5.9× for GoldZilla.
  • 2) But GoldZilla has the thicker sample. 412 trades vs 128. A system with 128 trades can still be lucky; 412 is much harder to fake. The problem is that the larger sample actually exposes a thin edge.
  • 3) GoldZilla's edge buffer is very narrow. This is the most important one. Minimum win rate to break even = avgLoss ÷ (avgWin + avgLoss): Gold Snap 61.7% vs GoldZilla 48.1%. With realized rates of 78.1% and 54.9%, Gold Snap's buffer is +16.4 points, GoldZilla only +6.8 points. Add a little spread or slippage and GoldZilla's 1.31 PF can drop below 1 immediately.
  • 4) Neither uses martingale, but their risk profiles are far apart. GoldZilla once closed a single position at −$350.18 — 35% of its initial deposit in one trade. Gold Snap's worst trade was only −$35.39 (8.8% of initial deposit). On the other hand, Gold Snap uses more margin (deposit load 28% vs 8.3%) as the trade-off.
  • 5) The official MQL5 warnings are of different kinds. GoldZilla repeatedly got the "80% of growth within 7–8 days" flag — almost all of its +136% came from one short burst, with the rest flat for months. Gold Snap did not get that flag, but got the opposite: idle periods ("no trading activity" for up to 6 days) that you must treat as normal, not as an error.

💰 The Number Nobody Talks About: Copy Cost vs Your Capital

This is the part people skip most often when they see a good signal: your copy result is roughly proportional to the capital you attach, while the signal subscription fee is fixed. From total growth divided by signal age, the historical pace is around +13.7%/month for Gold Snap and +9.3%/month for GoldZilla. So:

SignalHistorical returnCopy costMinimum capital to cover the fee
Gold Snap~13.7% / month$999 / month≈ $7,300 (realistically $10,000+)
GoldZilla AI~9.3% / month$45 / month≈ $480
📌 The practical consequence: at our recommended capital ($200 demo / $500–1,000 live), Gold Snap produces roughly $68–137 per month — while its copy cost is $999 per month. So as a signal to copy, Gold Snap makes no sense at retail size, however good its curve looks. GoldZilla only starts to break even at around $500 of capital. This calculation assumes copy results scale proportionally and that historical performance continues — neither is guaranteed, so treat it as a rough estimate. Which is exactly why downloading the EA for free on Telegram is far more relevant: you can run its logic yourself with no subscription cost.

🏦 Quick Heads-Up Before You Test (This Decides Most of Your Result)

Gold Snap holds positions for ~4 minutes — here your broker matters more than your set file. Look at the slippage table on its signal: on most major brokers it reads 0.00, meaning execution really is tight, but the moment you use a wide-spread broker, that 4-minute edge is eaten by cost. GoldZilla, meanwhile, holds for ~4 hours yet records 7–14 pips of slippage on many brokers (ICMarketsSC-MT5-3: 13.18 × 357; FPMarkets 14.00) — and that is multiplied by 412 trades. Do not test either of them on a random Standard account and then blame the EA.

💱 Pair & Timeframe

Both are XAUUSD (GOLD), one chart only. Do not attach either EA twice with the same Magic Number — orders will duplicate and the panel gets confused.

⚠️ Important note about the files we share: what we share is Gold Snap v1.1 (older than the live v2.2) and GoldZilla AI MT4 v1.1. GoldZilla's signal #2362448 is the MT5 "Medium Risk" build, so it is not exactly the same file. Treat both as research files: the signal numbers are the reference, your own forward test is the truth.

💰 Minimum Capital & Lot Recommendation

Gold Snap asks for a $100 minimum (recommended $200+). GoldZilla asks for around $500 (recommended $2,000+). To keep it fair, use the same test figure for both. Open the right account type from day one: Exness Cent for a small test, FBS if you would like bonus margin while testing.

Account TypeRecommended CapitalStarting LotOpen Where
Verification Demo$5000.01 FixedFBS Demo
If Verified (4+ weeks)$1,000 – $2,0000.01 conservativeFBS
Cent Alternative50,000 cents (~$500)0.01Exness Cent
  • Leverage: 1:100 minimum — both signals use 1:100.
  • Lot Mode: both start from Fixed 0.01. Do not increase before 4 weeks have passed.
  • Gold Snap: leave it on defaults. With the signal's 28% deposit load, do not raise the lot on a small account.
  • GoldZilla AI: log which strategy is active each week. If it keeps flipping strategies and loses on both sides, the regime detection is not working.
  • Hedge / Netting: a Hedge account gives pending orders more room.
💡 HG Trade Tip: because GoldZilla has 412 trades versus Gold Snap's 128, do not judge them by profit amount. Log number of trades, spread at entry, holding time and Journal errors every week — that is what makes your own comparison meaningful.

🏦 Recommended Broker + VPS (Please Do Not Skip This)

If you want results that look anything like the original signal, build the same stack: a low-spread broker plus a VPS close to the broker server. Gold Snap needs low latency because it exits within minutes; GoldZilla needs a server that never sleeps while a 4-hour position is open.

📈 What to Expect (Honest Overview)

There is no holy grail in either of them. What there is: two different risk characters, and you have to pick the one that fits how you handle pressure.

  • Gold Snap — high win rate, rare trades: 78% winners, but only 5 trades/week and it has stayed quiet for up to 6 days. Its wins are small (avg +$15.13) while its losses are bigger (avg −$24.40) — you must be comfortable with 4 losses in a row (−$110.19).
  • GoldZilla AI — frequent trading, nearly even wins and losses: 54.85% win rate with an avg win of +$25.05 almost equal to an avg loss of −$23.20. That means streaks of 5–7 losses are normal, and its progress depends on one big burst.
  • In quiet conditions: Gold Snap may not trade at all for weeks (activity 0.12%). That is the system waiting, not an error — do not force trades.
  • Very broker-sensitive: always backtest with Every tick based on real ticks + your own broker's spread, then test on an Exness demo before going live.
🛡️ A Calm Way to Test Before Live: 1) run both on separate demo accounts, 2) 0.01 fixed, 3) 4+ weeks untouched, 4) log trades + spread + errors every week. If one of them fits, only then consider going live with cold money. Do not raise the lot to fight a losing streak.

⚖️ Pros & Cons — Honest Review

🥇 Gold Snap EA MT5

✅ Pros❌ Cons / Risks
• Win rate 78.12%, PF 2.21, Sharpe 0.39
• Most controlled max drawdown in this comparison (15.20%)
• Worst trade only −$35.39
• Cleanest copy slippage (0.00–2.43)
• Rare trades = no overtrading
• Claims no grid / no martingale
• Copy cost $999/month — unrealistic at retail capital
• Share is v1.1, live is already v2.2
• 4-minute holds = extremely spread-sensitive
• Long idle periods (activity 0.12%)
• Includes 2 GBPUSD trades, not pure XAUUSD
• Deposit load 28.03%

🐉 GoldZilla AI MT4

✅ Pros❌ Cons / Risks
• Large sample of 412 trades, harder to fake
• Cheap copy cost at $45/month (breakeven ~$480)
• Trades on almost every day (64.36% of days active)
• Pure XAUUSD, economical deposit load (8.32%)
• Much cheaper product at $399
• Multi-strategy, not dependent on one logic
• Official MQL5 flag "80% of growth within 7–8 days"
• 23.29% DD — does not match the "Medium Risk" label
• Single worst trade −$350.18 (35% of initial deposit)
• Edge buffer is only +6.8 points
• 7–14 pips of slippage × 412 trades
• Share is MT4, its signal is an MT5 build

🏆 HG Trade Verdict — Who Wins at What

HG Trade Verdict: on trading performance, Gold Snap wins on almost every risk-reward metric — 207% vs 136%, PF 2.21 vs 1.31, DD 15% vs 23%. But as a product you can actually use, GoldZilla makes more sense: a $45 fee with a breakeven of roughly $480 of capital, versus Gold Snap at $999/month. Since we share both for free on Telegram, the smartest move is not to pick one and follow its signal — it is to run both on separate demos for a month and judge with your own eyes. For traders who hate waiting: Gold Snap is friendlier. For those who want to see movement almost every day: GoldZilla, with firm caveats about its 23% DD and −$350 worst trade.

⚙️ How to Install Both — About 6 Minutes Total

  1. Broker first: open Exness Cent → verify → create a demo account. Prefer the bonus route? Open FBS here.
  2. Copy Gold Snap_1.1_market.ex5 into MQL5 → Experts, then copy Gold Zilla AI MT4_1.1_fix.ex4 into MQL4 → Experts. Restart both terminals.
  3. Open XAUUSD in each terminal, drag the EA on, enable Allow Automated Trading + Allow Algo Trading.
  4. Keep 0.01 + defaults on both. Leave GoldZilla on M5; for Gold Snap one chart of XAUUSD is enough.
  5. Use a separate demo per EA so the results do not mix when you compare them.
  6. Move both terminals onto a VPS (FXVM / Digitalku) and leave them untouched for 4 weeks.
💡 Gentle Starter Settings ($500 demo, both): 1 XAUUSD chart per EA, 0.01 fixed, defaults, Journal logging on, separate demo accounts. Touch nothing for a month.

⚠️ Risk Disclaimer

Gold Snap (fast breakout scalper, ~4 minutes per position) and GoldZilla AI (multi-strategy regime switching, ~4 hours per position) are shared as research files, not a profit guarantee. Every figure in this article is vendor live signal data from MQL5 as of 26 October 2026, not an HG Trade test result, and those figures change all the time. The files we share are older builds (Gold Snap v1.1 vs live v2.2; GoldZilla MT4 v1.1 vs the MT5 Medium Risk signal). Gold Snap is highly spread- and execution-sensitive; GoldZilla has a 23.29% drawdown history, a single −$350.18 trade and an official MQL5 warning about profit concentration. Test on demo/cent for at least 2 weeks on Exness Cent, start from 0.01 fixed, and only use cold money you will not need soon. This is not investment advice.
